Batteries for Birds is Back November 27th!

Last year, Nicole Suydam and Mark Lowry wrote an article in the Orange County Register talking about “local food security”. One in six kids and one in ten adults in South Orange County lack sufficient food to live healthy lives. Hunger is an issue near and dear to our hearts here at The Jewelry Box of Lake Forest, so we work with South County Outreach year-round by offering a discount off jewelry and watch repairs to those who bring in non-perishable food donations. And when this holiday season arrives, we really ramp it up.

Batteries for Birds: 11/27-12/15

From November 27th through December 15th, ALL WATCH BATTERY REVENUE at The Jewelry Box of Lake Forest will be donated to South County Outreach. Outreach then uses these funds to provide holiday meals for local families in need. Last year, we provided for over 100 families.

It Only Takes $12

Most batteries cost $12—and that entire $12 goes toward helping families in need. Want to give a little more or don’t have a watch with a dead battery? Install a new battery anyway so you needn’t worry about it for the next year. Bring in as many watches as you want to. Also, we are happy to collect cash donations and pass them along to Outreach. A donation of $20 buys a full holiday meal for a family of five.

12 Years of Giving Back

This is the twelfth year that the Jewelry Box of Lake Forest has promoted Batteries for Birds and we look more and more forward to it each Fall. Witnessing the generosity of our customers and community is the best holiday gift we receive each year. It’s so rewarding to know that we do make a difference together.

Help us keep the spirit of giving alive by participating in our 12th annual Batteries for Birds fundraiser, November 27th through December 15th.
